My Disastrous Appearance on Entertainment Tonight

this girl was so nice

If you watched Channel 8 on New Years Eve, you saw me destroy what was left of television. From the bouncy see-through top lady during the car giveaway to my interview with the semi-coherent dude in the camo trucker hat, I slayed every last hope of TV’s survival. But those moments didn’t garner near the response of the Entertainment Tonight segment. WFAA flew me to LA (coach, 2 connections) to appear with Samantha Harris on Entertainment Tonight.

I’ve had 13,783 people ask me to post the ET bit. Problem was, I didn’t have the bit to post until yesterday when my WFAA producer sent me the vid. This is the shorter version that actually aired on New Years Eve. There was a longer one with more jokes, including urination, but time constraints got us.

  1. Love it! But once America discovers you, we will lose you from the little ticket.

And very shortly after this aired, Entertainment Tonight announced that Samantha Harris would be leaving the show ( http://htl.li/8PCWN ). Coincidence? I think not.

Oh, no. This is the first I heard of it. She was really, really nice. All those people at Entertainment Tonight were nice. I walked in there thinking “I’d never want to do a job like this.” But after they showed me the operation and how it all worked, I thought differently. Plum gig.

  5. Well?

    ….Nailed it.

Can anyone deny that performance was worthy of an Emmy? No, 2 Emmies!

    TV Newcomer? Uh, Gallagher, anyone??

I live in LA so my reaction to this segment actually matters, pure gold Gordon. But what the hell else would you ever produce so no surprises there, thanks for the comedy, come to bed with me

Not even close to a Kaufmanesque performance, but still an inspired effort and well appreciated.
