This is your latest internet meme. A 13 year old girl named Rebecca Black went to one of those Make-Your-Kid-A-Star places that writes and produces a music video to show your friends. The thing goes viral, in part because the lyrics are comically literal. Boom. We get some oddly catchy musical magic.
My take: The girl is cute. The song can be enjoyed in a benevolent, ironical way. And thank God I didn’t grow up in an age when all juvenilia was published and dissected.
I hate myself. Beartrap alert.

What a great night on Saturday for the band reunion. Thanks to you guys who came out. We raised close to $10,000 for Autism Speaks. Here are a few pics. I’ll add more when I muster the interest.

If you missed The Fake Charlie Sheen on the Ticket, you can hear it here.
If you missed the absolute gold on 20/20 on Tuesday night, watch it now.
Making the email/twitter rounds is the Live The Sheen Dream random quote generator.
I don’t know if I agree with these 15 Craziest Sheen Quotes. Maybe I like these quotes better.
Also ride the Mercury surfboard to the bitchin’ Charlie Sheen Dictionary.
Charlie now has his own Twitter feed which has already provided us a shot of a watch that keeps “Warlock time.”
Here’s one of the many Charlie Sheen Soundboards.
When I was sixteen I was in a band called InnerFaith. I remember one of my first gigs was opening up for the Romantics at the Basement. I had to sneak out of my parents’ house because it was a school night. I had Charlie Sexton hair and the world by the tail because I was opening up for the guys who sang “What I Like About You.”
When InnerFaith ended, the guys went their separate ways. One stayed in music. One went back to college. Two became cops. And I went on to form The Hemingways before joining the Ticket. We all have a fondness for old friends who shared our carefree days before the world demanded more from us. And those guys are it for me.So get this…
WE’RE GETTING THE BAND BACK TOGETHER for one night only- this Saturday at The Curtain Club. It’s going to be a blast. Like a family reunion. You’re welcome to attend and listen to the way music sounded back before Kurt Cobain blew the head off anything NOT grunge.
We are playing with our old pals from 4 Reasons Unknown, another band from back in the day with a more impressive history. These guys won the MTV Basement Tapes, had an album with CBS, and one member appeared in a certain cheesy Joan Jett video. This reunion show benefits Autism Speaks, a charity that’s near and dear because some of us have children who live with autism. Come out for a great cause.
