Man, if all the trucks that had Piolin por la Manana stickers on them would just tune it on their way to the jobsite, that would be at least 25 listeners per truck, and then the Pequena Ticket would REALLY be in trouble!

Why is it “unbelievable?” I get that they have bigger signals, but that’s it. How many years will the lil’ Ticket have to be around and on top before you’re not longer the lil’ Ticket? The Ticket isn’t the underdog, it’s the favorite. Silly to think that you’re not.
The Ticket is the little Ticket because we are still doing it with a small signal on the AM band with our founding members against big signals with bigger pockets. When you see that our 6a-7p lineup is consistently #1 MEN 25-54, and our morning show is currently #1 in ADULTS 25-54, it is so far from our meager beginnings as a mom and pop radio station with no shot at the big leagues, that it feels very David and Goliath to us.
I think it is a matter of perspective. That original hunger of the Ticket’s beginnings, and momma bear protectiveness we feel, has never left, and can never leave those of us who were here on the inside at the beginning, slugging it out against the naysayers and dismissers.
Does this mean younger women will be calling in on Thursdays?
