    The HOA can forclose but they only get their cut and the owner gets the rest of any profit left over. They don’t get your house.

      HOA’s can only file liens. They can’t force a sale if there is a first lien holder such as a mortgage company. The HOA lien is 2nd or 3rd in line.
      When the house is sold, perhaps many years later, they will get their cut.

      If there is no lien holder and there is no “homestead filing”, they can force a foreclosure sale. But that is rare.
      It is very difficult to “lose” your house in Texas.
