I knew the Big Dick firing would kill your ratings. The Ticket is going down.
Wow… Looks like the Fan was the best thing thats happened to The Ticket in a while. Before fan- #3, after fan- #1. Thank you 105.3
What is a rating and how can I get one?
Is HD radio the next CueCat?
The problem with HD radio is that the company that pioneered it also worked into all the standards that you HAVE to buy a license from them to make any kind of HD radio receiver/gear/whatever. When you have one company with a proprietary hold and licensing fees on a format you get failure (I believe BetaMax is the most famous case of this)
P.S. – the HD in HD radio doesn’t stand for High Definition (even though the sound quality is a vast improvement.) It stands for “Hybrid Digital”
If theres a hole you can bet theres a plug for it.

Also sorry if this is the wrong spot to post it….Ticket is way better than any other talk radio…. However soon if not already spanish talk radio is gonna overtake…. I suspect ratings will skyrocket when they have the mexican olympics…. ok maybe that went over the line… sorry
wtf
Sling it around. Your sports penuse is huuugge.
I always knew The Fan was gonna suck. I argue with Fan fans all the time about how awful the station is. The ratings tell it all. Jerry was insane to take the Cowboys to that station. Of course once the NFL season starts their ratings will increase a little and the Ticket haters will come out of the woodwork. What’s Jerry gonna do when The Fan goes off the air in a couple of years?
I love The Ticket been a P1 ever since Bayless’ last day, but I suspect Jerry moved due to signal quality and distance. Of more concern to me is being able to hear the Stars… the evening signal sucks to the South (DeSoto). That too will be a failed bit unless the signal gets better, I’m sorry to say.
How did Bad Radio come in second, when they appeared to have a better rating? Rush had a 4.6 rating for the 12-3 time slot, I believe. Love all that is ticket. Robert
Am I reading this right in that essentially the rag tag little Ticket is actually the top radio station in Dallas except from 10-3 when KZPS gets ahead of them? Including all the music stations? If so… wow.
I am also relishing any level of failure we can see the Fan and ESPN garner. But it looks like compared to the non sports/talk stations they’re not doing bad for themselves either.
this is going to make getting into radio that much harder for small businesses.
