  6. after clicking through the “Palin as President” link, I have a new beef:

If you do not realize how to pronounce the word “nuclear,” PLEASE remove yourself from the planet.

Christ on a bike, what form of mouth-breather would actually want someone that dumb near the White House.

  13. P1 B,

I also think there’s millions of other “Americans” far worse than Palin that you couldn’t understand if they said nuclear:

    -Tons of 7-11 cashiers
    -ANYONE from Microsoft Tech support
-Those millions of illegals who say the country could’t run without them.
-How about the people you find at all of those oriental-owned-and-dominated strip malls all over DFW.

Do you want to remove them from the planet, too?
Would they also be considered “that dumb”?

Here’s a better idea, let’s allow a person to be President of the United States whos name is BARACK HUSSEIN MUHAMMED OBAMA!

    I feel so safe already!

  14. Sorry to have to pull ‘em off…

    eRacer X:

You are an ethnocentric, close-minded person of middling intelligence.

Even though it is not true, I would gladly have a Muslim president…or an Atheist. Hell, he could worship his sofa…that’s fine by me. I still get to go to my church on Sunday? Excellent.

One can choose to run their business differently from how they run their life. Why is it always so black and white (figuratively and literally) in this discussion?

Why can’t the argument be (oh no!) more nuanced?

Here’s where you committed some logical gerrymandering:

The difference between Sarah “The Pig” Palin not being able to pronounce nuclear and this following list of people you so lovingly provided is that they are not holding the second highest office in the flippin’ country!

“Power without responsibility – the prerogative of the harlot throughout the ages”

The greater the burden of the station in life, the more scrutiny they must endure; the more it should take to meet muster.

    -Tons of 7-11 cashiers
-ANYONE (blank statement, much?) from Microsoft Tech support
-Those millions of illegals who say the country could’t run without them.
-How about the people you find at all of those oriental-owned-and-dominated strip malls all over DFW.

If you cannot even see that, please exit stage left so the adults can talk.

oh, and btw, I would rather have a Harvard educated black man who bootstrapped himself than a spoiled misogynist who graduated 894 out of a class of 899! Way to hold yourself to the highest standard.

    P.S. HUSSEIN-OBAMA/BIDEN THE BABYKILLER ‘08

    P.P.S. – better than ‘Ol Johnny Crash-Republic*nt 08′

    YOU BETCHA!

  15. Gordon,

You love that midget woman so, so much. Have her on the show and converse. Speak Spanish to/with her. The pants of many a P1 will undoubtedly become tight.

    Cory

  16. First of all, I too cannot stand people who cannot pronounce the word “nuclear” properly – geez, I’m not a rocket scientist, but I have been out and about – I fail to understand how one can live at least 25 years on this earth and not understand how to pronounce the word – it’s like not being able to pronounce the word “orange” – then again, I am a child of the Cold War – maybe that has something to do with it – you young folks just don’t know how it was back in the day -

Umm, Racer X, all of your examples are people who immigrated here – it’s not a good example. Like, yeah, most immigrants talk funny – duh, what else is new – you need to come up with a better example. I think P1 B was talking about Palin –

“You are an ethnocentric, close-minded person of middling intelligence.” – P1 B – umm, that’s a bit harsh, don’t you think – Racer X has not aquitted himself well with his examples – yes, you could draw this conclusion from his response, but I think you overreach here –

“and btw, I would rather have a Harvard educated black man who bootstrapped himself than a spoiled misogynist who graduated 894 out of a class of 899! Way to hold yourself to the highest standard.”

WTF dude, I dont’ care how high you grad from any Military Academy – look, Custer graduated last in his class, Patton graduated low in his class – that means nothing. Nothing to how much they can help this country – Custer helped made it possible for the Union to win the Civil War – Patton whipped the Nazis – those guys made it possible for us to believe what we believe now. No matter how small a contribution it was, Custer helped us to make the black man a citizen in this country, because he helped the Union win he war.
Even the least of us can contribute – (which, by the way, is something I think Conservatives no longer appreciate)

“Power without responsibility – the prerogative of the harlot throughout the ages”
Yes, P1 B, that is the problem, that is the problem with the Republicans, they overreached, they thought they could get away with anything. Look at what Bush Jr has done – does it not look like the melt down on Wall Street – it all goes back to that – Power without responsibility – Bush Jr thought he had that power, and he took it too far – he could invade anyone he wanted to, hang the consequences. Wall Street thought they had done away with all risk from lending – they could lend money to anyone, and we can still make money –
See where they are now -

  17. Can’t you two just kiss and make out…er ‘up’, I mean?

Wait till I can get my camera and cowboy hats please.

  18. Indeed – stop worrying about it – just like my mom says, “It will all work out” – how the hell should she know? but it always does seem to work out – go figure -

  19. Here’s what my comments were based on;

“If you do not realize how to pronounce the word “nuclear,” PLEASE remove yourself from the planet.

Christ on a bike, what form of mouth-breather would actually want someone that dumb near the White House.”

In your example referring to her being “that dumb”, is referring to her inability to pronounce a single word; which is why I gave the example of those who may have pronunciation issues, and asking if you would associate them with being dumb or wanting them to be removed from the planet. The pronunciation being the target here.
I know you were talking about Palin, but it was her accent that was in reference. I guess I should have referenced the differences between the accents of Texans and New Yorkers; which consequently, also fits largely into the demographics of the examples I used. I just didn’t know my character would get assassinated for it. Jeez.

” You are an ethnocentric, close-minded person of middling intelligence.”

    “Sarah ‘The Pig’ Palin”

Because of the first quote I was conflicted on whether or not your tirade which began with this even warranted a response from me. It felt like a 5 year old throwing daggers at me in the form of ‘poo-poo head’ or ’stupid face’.; so I almost wanted to respond accordingly. (No, not kicking him in the nuts, just ignoring him all together).

Combined with the 2nd quote you defined to me the type of person I believe you to be, which in my mind doesn’t even award you the right to be on that stage you so affably request I leave.
So I can agree that we disagree, no kisses under cowboy hats (sorry Boo Boo) and move on.

PunkDawg, I use Danny’s quote, “Stay out of this Tye!”
(I’m kidding…don’t aim the RPG at me.)
I agree with all that you had to say except for your 2nd and last paragraph. I think the Bush administration failed in a lot of ways. Kipling’s quote, however, can be applied to other entities in today’s America as well; not just the Presidency. Wall Street, members of Congress, powerful CEOs…they all have shown examples of how “Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.” Things need to change….America needs to change.

    McCain/Palin ‘08

    see how nice that was

  20. Atheist said Christ didn’t even play in that game.

  21. Racer X, that’s a shame really. You two are really hawt.

  22. Racer X & PunkDog & P1 Brandon:

    Yer mom went to college.

    Now you may continue …

  23. Thumb Harmonica=GK.com version of Godwin-ing the conversation.

    new hawtness.
